Erieau: Marine & Water Safety Day
The Erieau Community Association is proud to present Marine & Water Safety Day: a fun, educational, and family-friendly event focused on promoting water safety and drowning prevention in Chatham-Kent.
This engaging event will take place in the beautiful lakeside community of Erieau and is designed for attendees of all ages. Families, residents, and visitors are invited to participate in a day of learning and interaction with local first responders and marine safety professionals. The goal is to raise awareness about safe practices on and around the water.
Experts from Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue, OPP Marine Services, and other emergency personnel will be on hand to provide demonstrations, answer questions, and share life-saving tips. Attendees will also learn more about the CK Water Safe Drowning Prevention Program, which plays a vital role in reducing water-related incidents through education and community outreach.
The event is being held in partnership with the Erieau Community Association, Erieau Marina, Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue, and Local and Ontario Provincial Police Marine personnel. With boating, swimming, and other water activities being such a large part of life in Erieau and the surrounding region, this event provides an important opportunity to learn how to stay safe while enjoying our natural waterways.
